Sun Salutation A

  1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana) – Stand tall, hands at heart or by your sides. Take a deep breath in.
  2. Upward Salute (Urdhva Hastasana) – Inhale, sweep arms overhead, palms together.
  3. Standing Forward Fold (Uttanasana) – Exhale, hinge from hips, bring hands toward the floor.
  4. Halfway Lift (Ardha Uttanasana) – Inhale, lift halfway, spine long, hands on shins or floor.
  5. Plank Pose (Phalakasana) – Exhale, step or jump back, engage the core.
  6. Low Push-Up (Chaturanga Dandasana) – Inhale, lower halfway, elbows hugging ribs.
  7. Upward-Facing Dog (Urdhva Mukha Svanasana) – Exhale, lift chest, straighten arms, tops of feet on the mat.
  8. Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana) – Inhale, lift hips high, heels toward the floor. Hold for five breaths.
  9. Halfway Lift (Ardha Uttanasana) – Inhale, step or jump forward, lift halfway.
  10. Standing Forward Fold (Uttanasana) – Exhale, fold forward again.
  11. Upward Salute (Urdhva Hastasana) – Inhale, rise up, arms overhead.

• 12. Mountain Pose (Tadasana) – Exhale, return hands to heart or sides.
